About Candidate

I am Dean Mumuane, a motivated business analyst with sharp analytical skills, In my current position as a Business Analyst at Discovery.
My assigned duties in my position is to help identify business system problems this allowed me to work as an intermediate between the client and technical team who would deploy the solutions. I am also motivated to work close with the technical team in regards to system monitoring and support, I am a team player who not only focuses on thier field of knowledge but always willing to learn and assist with tasks outside my field. This allowed me to apply my analytical skills and using various analytical tool sets and business knowledge.

my duties involved the following:

  • Elicit client requirements, by providing a problem analysis specifications
  • document all requirement specifications and identify dependencies amongst requirements
  • Use my UML skills to mock up solution diagrams and use cases, this helps in identifying how will the solution and implemented solution be beneficial to business, and allow to translate the business ask to the technical team.
  • Map out process flows and workflow diagrams.
  • Used project tracking tool sets  such as JIRA using agile and kanban methods to track various tasks through the project timeline
  • I provided test case scenario before deploying to production to track system functionality.
    Additional duties involved doing system support task as a System administrator this allowed me to be involved monitoring certificate renewal for third party Systems and running system health checks .

With seeking out this new opportunity I am looking to expand my skill set and apply it more as I see my skills as a business analyst will be beneficial to business and the project with the initial phases of the project very key and that’s where my skill sets are heavily relied on. I believe that in a project once we get the initial phase of identifying the problem and mapping out the best solution for business the implementation and final product will always be a add value to business with no draw-backs or project defects.
I am motivated to be more add value to business not only around my field of work but to also learn skill sets that will be add value to the team especial in the development aspect of things.

I believe I’ll be great value to the team with the motivation to learn more from the people I work with and this also allows me to be able to assist outside my skill set from the knowledge sharing I will inherit from the team and will always keep me familiar with the systems and projects.
