Responsibilities: • Manage the complete recruitment and selection process, including recruitment requisitions, job advertising, shortlisting, Interviews, Integrity check, placement etc. • Setting up shortlisting’s and interviews and sit up as an HR representative. • Provide expert guidance and general HR thought to the faculty’s administrators and line managers on all HR processes across the employee life cycle. • Drafting of the employment letters for new employees (contracts). • Ensure compliance on Employment Equity Acts and other HR procedures and policies • Compiling of the Induction list for new employees • Work closely with practitioners and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention. • Constant update of the recruitment report • Extending of Extraordinary appointments and making sure that acceptance documents are processed • Handling of the relocation process for new employees • Handling the resignation and retirement process of employees • Draft after probation appointment letters and confirmation of appointment letters to employees • Provide first line support on employee queries. • Ensure that the employees are paid on a timeous basis. • Conduct Integrity check on new appointable candidates (References and MIE) • Managing and drafting of the University Exit Interview report • Take part in headhunting process on scares skill positions within the Faculty of Humanities, IT, EMS and other faculties • Assisting Line managers with Departmental hearing process • General Administration duties: • Dealing with daily HR administrative duties and daily telephonic enquiries • Well-advanced communication skills as one of my current duties is to communicate, assist and make offers to our clients over the phone. • Assisting employees and Pnet applicants with queries and complaints and directing queries that are below my knowledge to the relevant people in the department. • Assist applicants with formatting and typing CVs. • Furniture Removal arrangements for appointed employees • Ensuring that new employees personal file is created and that all new employee details are accurately submitted to Payroll • Following up on incomplete documents received from payroll • Leave and termination administration • Making of phone calls and answering phone calls • Sending and receiving mails on GroupWise • Performing other general administration HR duties • Scheduling meetings
