I am an Operations & Facilities Associate currently working in an organisation in Johannesburg who is intensely absorbed by organisations like yours and the impact they have on people’s everyday life.  Serve as the go-to person when it comes to running the campus, including resource management, cleanliness, maintenance & repairs, facilities management and utilities.  Hold primary accountability for the operation, supervision and maintenance of buildings and facilities on campus, including water and electrical power supply, safety and security, garden maintenance, IT, and other utilities required for successful functioning of the campus.  Manage third-party vendors (e.g. aftercare, uniform suppliers, extramural suppliers etc.) including keeping minutes of all meetings and records of agreements reached.  Inspect the building and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions in need of repair.  Create and project-manage maintenance (planned and unplanned) in line with budget.  Support the organisation of events on campus (e.g. Parent Meetings, Open Days and Sports Days), including staffing. Logistics and catering needs.  Procure materials and build relationships with suppliers to ensure schools have the necessary materials to deliver high-quality results.  Manage day-to-day operations and resolve campus related issued, concerns, and/or complaints with the support of the Operation Leader or a delegate.  Work with different teams across the network to forecast needs and acquire supplies, equipment and/or machinery necessary to ensure efficient operations and to manage delivery times and expectations.  Supervise Facilities staff members to ensure quality delivery of services within the expected time.  Ensure that the required IT support is provided.  Discuss and prioritize needs with the Head of School.  Manage and be responsible for the Health & Safety at the school.

 Capture purchase requisitions on SAP SRM  Ensure clear, appropriate and complete specification is given.  Ensure compliance with SCM prescribed legislations and Acts such as PPPFA, PFMA, National Treasury Regulations in terms of PFMA, BBBEE Act and SCM guidelines.  Compile spreadsheet on captured requisitions.  E-mailing of faxing Purchase orders to the suppliers and to do follow up on deliveries.  Checking vendor numbers on SAP R3.  Update and maintain supplier database.  Background check, with applicable laws, regulations and standards.  Receiving invoices and ensuring all relevant information is available, marrying invoices to orders by checking order numbers, quantities and values.  Ensure invoices/P.O.D. are signed  Process all goods received daily on the system to ensure timeous payment for suppliers.  Monitor supplier performance to access ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.  Monitor forecasts and quotes to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.  Assist contract compliance and complete checklist.  Ensuring correct signing off is obtained prior to submission of proposal or acceptance of contracts and providing all supporting documentation needed.  Create and maintain a contract register to ensure safe keeping of all contracts and agreements.

 Maximise customer satisfaction through multiple disciplines i.e. Forwarding, invoicing, queries, customs, route planning, de-briefing, tracking etc  Manage performance reports (KPI & SLA’s) as well as client reports.  Cargo movement is controlled in accordance with agreed tariffs and client requirements.  Invoice are submitted within the timeframe set in Client’s agreed KPI’s.  Ensure delivery booking slots adhere to and that the delivery plan is optimally executed  Tracking and expediting of vehicles on-route to designated offloading points.  Continuously record and verify vehicle positions on the tracking system  Advice all stakeholders of delays and deviations and alleviation action thereof.  Fuel management i.e. Pre- and Post-trip diesel inspections are done  Feed all loading and off-loading data into management portals  Monitor all vehicles on the satellite tracking system (C-Track).  Take necessary actions; On a daily basis report exception, and or transgressions of the information generated via C-Track System according to company policies and procedures.  Contact, alert and document events trigger via the tracking system when drivers over speed, drive off-routes, coach running behind timetable, idle excessively, enter No-Go Zones.  Ensure that all accidents, incidents and breakdowns are monitored and documented.  Loading plans for the warehouse; Plans will be received from the Logistics Manager and should be recorded on a excel sheet.  Any other duties as required.

Restaurant Shift Supervisor

 Manage the restaurant in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures including directing the activities of employees in maximising sales, operating efficiency and profit.  Assume overall responsibility for the correct implementation of the One-System OH&S programme.  Ensure all employees are provided with the appropriate training and resources to perform their duties safely.  The Restaurant Supervisor has the responsibility and authority for safety over contractors, customers and other visitors when on company property.  Achieve CHAMPS Standards within the restaurant by ensuring that all employees are focused on exceeding customer expectations for Cleanliness, Hospitality, Accuracy, Maintenance, Product and Speed of Service.  Ensure that controls and procedures are implemented to protect the security of employees and company funds.  Forecast and schedule management and team member labour within budget.  Train and develop team members to meet the standards of performance required.  Monitor performance and implement corrective action where required.  Keep the Area Manager informed of any competitive activity that is likely to affect the trading results of the restaurant.  Report to the Area Manager any aspect of employee relations, customer service, attendance of and/or inspections by third parties that have or are likely to affect the operation of the restaurant.  Promote Yum!'s How We Work Together principles acting as a role model and providing leadership as necessary.  Other duties as required.
