Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Air and Sea Freight Sales Consultant to join our team. As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and expanding our client base within the air and sea freight industry. You will work closely with potential and existing clients, providing them with expert guidance on their shipping needs and offering customized solutions to meet their logistics requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of the freight industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:  Identify and target potential clients in various industries to expand the company’s customer base.

  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, and industry events.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Understand the unique shipping needs of clients and provide tailored solutions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly.

Product Knowledge:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and market conditions.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of air and sea freight services, pricing structures, and logistics solutions.
  • Educate clients on various shipping options and provide them with accurate information to make informed decisions.

Proposal and Quotation:

  • Prepare and present detailed proposals and quotations to clients.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms to secure new business opportunities.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services to clients.

Sales Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and revenue forecasts.
  • Provide regular sales reports and updates to management.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of shipments and excellent customer service.
  • Share market insights and client feedback with internal teams to improve service offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven track record in sales, with at least 5 years of experience in air and sea freight sales or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of air and sea freight services and the logistics industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures is a plus.
